View Context: Activates the internal context viewer. The highlighted file will be opened at the point of the found search string and the string will be highlighted. The highlight color, number of lines displayed in the context viewer, and viewer font are configurable in General Options. If the Search Results list contains nothing or if you have the focus on a filename line, View Context is not available.

In example screen here, the file D:\EXAMPLE\Search(grep) and Replace for.htm would be displayed in the context viewer at line 22.

Note: The context viewer displays text only. However, the 32 bit version of Search and Replace will automatically detect binary files and launch our freeware companion utility, HexView, which can display and print any file as a hex dump. HexView can be downloaded from our web site at http://www.funduc.com.

Note: If the file is in a ZIP file, it is extracted to a subdirectory of the path specified in Search Options. If you edit it, you must use your ZIP utility to update the ZIP since ZIP files are NOT automatically updated.
